Who we are
PW Painter & Decorator is the trading name of Peter White, a sole trader based in Spixworth, Norfolk. Postal address: c/o Dormer Finance Ltd, 8 Hemmells, Basildon, Essex SS15 6ED. Peter is the “controller” of your personal information under UK data protection law.

What we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website, or contact Peter by phone, text, email or Facebook, we may collect:
- your name, phone number, email address and postcode or address
- details of the work you’d like done, and any photos you send
- notes from a site visit, your quote, and records of the work carried out
- payment records and invoices, if you go ahead
The quote form on this website doesn’t send or store anything itself. It opens your own email or WhatsApp with your answers filled in, and nothing reaches Peter until you press send. Messages sent by WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.
We don’t ask for, and don’t need, any sensitive information about you.
How we use it

We will never sell your details or use them for marketing without your permission. We don’t use automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
Only with the services that help run the business, and only what they need: our email provider, our accountants (Dormer Finance Ltd), and HMRC or other authorities where the law requires it. If any of these store data outside the UK, they do so with the safeguards UK law requires.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t go ahead: deleted after 12 months
- Customer and job records: kept for 6 years after the work is finished, for tax and legal reasons, then deleted
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how it’s used, or receive a copy to pass on. Contact Peter using the details above. We’ll respond within one month, and there’s normally no charge.
Cookies
This website doesn’t use cookies, so there’s nothing to accept or decline.
To understand how the site is used, we count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service. It records things like which pages are viewed, roughly which country a visit comes from, the type of device, and which buttons are tapped (for example “Send on WhatsApp”). It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t identify you, and the data is stored in the EU.
The site’s fonts and images are served from our own website. Links to Facebook and Google only share information with them if you click them.
Photos of our work
Photos on this site show work Peter has carried out, used with the homeowner’s permission. We don’t show house numbers, addresses or people. If you’d like a photo of your home removed, just ask.
